Experienced Bicycle Mechanic

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bicycle Mechanic to join our workshop team in Kenilworth, Cape Town.

This is a full-time, on-site position within a busy, professional workshop servicing a wide range of bicycle brands and technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing bicycles to the highest standard while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair road, mountain, gravel, e-bike, and commuter bicycles.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.
• Build and true wheels to a professional standard.
• Service and maintain suspension components.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, maintenance requirements, and recommendations.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, organisation, and quality standards.
• Assist in achieving workshop turnaround times and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience working as a bicycle mechanic.
• Proven ability to work independently on a wide range of bicycle brands and systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern bicycle components and technologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and workmanship.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Previous experience in a professional bicycle workshop is essential.
